While checking the amazon.com page for the Silver Birch Press NOIR Erasure Poetry Anthology — released about 30 days ago — I noticed that several online booksellers had listed the book for around $1,000 (yes one thousand dollars). I have no idea what this is all about — only that some “experts” feel that the book is collectible. Perhaps Guy Budziak‘s superb cover art has led to this phenemenon.

Check it out! The Noir Erasure Anthology by Silver Birch Press is being sold for $1000. You can get it for $10.15.
The high price can also mean that the dealer is taking advantage of the short supply and gullible. I’ve contacted Amazon about folks like these, but never got any response other than, we’ll look into it. My hubby buys older hunting and fishing books and the prices we’ve had to pay for some are outrageous. I don’t consider these collector’s items because he doesn’t collect them. Once he’s read them he’s done with them. LOL, maybe I should stick them back on Amazon for sale at $1,000 each as an experiment and see what happens. 🙂
