Bar Bukowski in Amsterdam, The Netherlands — named for American author Charles Bukowski— is hostling monthly literary evenings featuring published and unpublished authors reading their work. The next scheduled literary event, on Monday, January 20, 2014, will feature poets Aaron Mick, Pim Oudheusden, Sabina Lukovic, Max Urai, Jibbe Willems, and — in her poetry performance debut — Hannah Woods. Special guests will include Eddie Woods (contributing editor to the Silver Birch Press Bukowski Anthology), reading from his newly released Tennessee Williams in Bangkok, and bart plantenga, whose work appears in the Bukowski Anthology.

Bar Bukowski has been called “the hottest place in the eastern part of Amsterdam for breakfast, lunch, and drinks.” The decor features Bukowski-inspired touches — including a typewriter light fixture — and includes Buk’s quotes on the menu. For more about this popular location, visit barbukowski.nl.
