Sunday morning — time for church. I don’t want to go. Dad makes me. When we arrive I jump off the buggy and walk the five miles home, a paperback in my pocket.
Sunday morning — time for church. I don’t want to go. Dad makes me. When we arrive I jump off the buggy and walk the ten miles home, sunshine on my straw hat.
Sunday morning — time for church. Dad harnesses the horse and leaves me at home.
